Speaker Bio
Liu Junyong is a Professor and PhD Supervisor at the School of Accountancy, Central University of Finance and Economics (CUFE), and Director of the China Management Accounting Research and Development Center. He serves as a consulting expert on management accounting for the Ministry of Finance, is a selected member of the Ministry of Finance’s “Accounting Masters” Talent Program, and is a consulting expert on management accounting in Beijing. He is also an Executive Council Member of the Accounting Society of China, Vice President of the Health Finance and Accounting Branch of the Chinese Society of Health Economics, Vice Chair of the Management Accounting Promotion and Application Alliance for the Industry and Information Technology sector, and a member of the National MPAcc Education Steering Committee.
His research interests include strategic execution, management accounting, and action learning. He has published more than 50 papers in leading Chinese journals such as Accounting Research and Management World, and has led over 20 research projects, including those funded by the National Social Science Fund of China, ministerial and provincial agencies, and industry partners. He is the lead instructor of the national first-class undergraduate course in Management Accounting.
Professor Liu has translated influential works, including The Balanced Scorecard, Strategy Maps, Organizational Alignment, Cost and Effect, The Seven Strategy Questions, and Performance Measurement and Control Systems. He has also authored or co-authored more than ten books, such as Performance Evaluation and Incentive Mechanisms, Comprehensive Budget Management: A Strategic Perspective, Business Activity Analysis, and Cost and Management Accounting. In addition, he has provided consulting, training, and action-learning services to numerous organizations.
His awards include five National MPAcc Outstanding Teaching Case Awards, a National MBA Outstanding Teaching Case Award, the Beijing Higher Education Teaching Master Award, and two National Teaching Achievement Awards.
