From November 23 to 26, the 2025 AMBA & BGA Asia Pacific Conference was successfully held in Indonesia. The event brought together more than 100 delegates from over 60 business schools across the Asia-Pacific region. Participants engaged in discussions on emerging topics such as artificial intelligence and digital transformation, exploring innovative pathways and future directions for business education. Deputy Dean Jian Ling (Acting Dean), Song Jiekun, Deputy Director of the Accreditation Office, and Yang Lei from the Accreditation Office attended the conference and participated actively in exchanges and knowledge sharing.

The conference featured a series of keynote speeches and roundtable forums covering a wide range of themes, including AI-enabled cognitive assessment and classroom teaching, localized case development driven by digital transformation and innovation, evolving employer expectations for business graduates, digital credentials as enablers of business school transformation, the development of lifelong learning systems, innovation and responsible management practices, and leadership development and industry–education integration strategies under the Silk Road entrepreneurship education alliance. These sessions showcased the latest practices and trends in business education amid accelerating digitalization and globalization.

During the special session highlighting Chinese business schools, Deputy Dean Jian Ling delivered a thematic presentation introducing the School’s disciplinary development strategy. Against the backdrop of China’s dual-carbon goals and the deepening energy transition, the School integrates distinctive energy-sector strengths and leverages the University’s strong disciplinary foundation in oil and gas. It focuses on frontier areas such as energy economics and management, oil and gas marketing, oil and gas enterprise management, carbon accounting, and energy and chemical finance, forming a distinctive “Energy+” discipline development framework that drew broad attention and positive recognition from participants.

Throughout the conference, the School’s delegation engaged in in-depth discussions with AMBA & BGA accreditation officials, international scholars, and peers from business schools worldwide on topics such as the refinement of accreditation standards and continuous enhancement of business education quality. Through open and pragmatic exchanges with representatives from institutions in India, Malaysia, Thailand, South Korea, and other countries, the parties reached initial understandings on potential collaboration in joint talent development and academic exchange. These interactions further expanded the School’s international visibility and provided valuable experience and connections to support future accreditation work and the implementation of its internationalization strategy.
As a globally influential accrediting body in management education, AMBA & BGA accreditation is an important component of business schools’ strategic development. The School achieved BGA Gold accreditation in December 2022. This conference participation further supported progress toward the reaccreditation review, offered a high-level platform for international engagement, and laid a solid foundation for the steady advancement of subsequent accreditation work.
