On the morning of November 20, the SEM & Marxism Sub-Forum of the 8th Qinglan Academic Forum for PhD Students was held at Room 559, Wenli Building. The forum was chaired by Associate Professor Wang Wenya from the School. Professors Huang Changsheng, Li Zhiguo, Liu Zongming, Meng Fanyi, and Cui Qi served as the panel judges. Eight PhD candidates participated in this session.
During the forum, participating doctoral students presented their latest research findings in turn. The judges provided detailed feedback on each presentation, offering constructive suggestions from multiple perspectives including topic significance, academic originality, presentation quality, and the Q&A performance. Faculty members and students engaged actively throughout the session, leading to in-depth and lively academic discussions.
Following a comprehensive review, Wang Jie (PhD candidate, Class of 2022) received the Best Oral Award for his presentation titled “Building Digital Eco-Civilization: The Role of Digital Technological Innovation in the Low-Carbon Transition of High Energy-Consuming Enterprises.” Wang Menghan (PhD candidate, Class of 2022) won the Best Poster Award for her poster “Household Consumption and Carbon Emissions: Age and Cohort Effects.”
The Qinglan Academic Forum aims to foster innovative thinking among graduate students and provide a platform for early-career scholars to present research findings and exchange ideas. To date, more than 90 PhD students from the School have participated in the forum. Going forward, the School will continue to improve the forum mechanism, inject new momentum into program development, and support the cultivation of high-level talent with an international perspective and strong research innovation capabilities.
