Recently, the Publicity Department of the CPC Shandong Provincial Committee and the Department of Education of Shandong Province jointly released the list of selected scholars and outstanding theoretical achievements for the Shandong Provincial Theoretical Talent “Hundred Scholars Program.” Dr. Wen Wen, Associate Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at the School, was successfully selected for this prestigious program.
Dr. Wen holds a Ph.D. in Management and specializes in the field of energy economics and management. She has led six research projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and other programs, and published more than twenty papers in high-impact journals such as Energy Economics, Public Administration Review (PAR), European Journal of Operational Research (EJOR), Transportation Research Part A (TRA), and Systems Engineering Theory and Practice. She has also published two scholarly monographs, with nearly ten policy advisory reports adopted by central and provincial government departments. Her research achievements have been recognized with several awards, including the Second Prize for Outstanding Achievements in Social Sciences of Shandong Province.
The “Hundred Scholars Program” is a key provincial initiative launched to identify and cultivate outstanding young and middle-aged scholars in the field of social science theory. Since its inception in 1999, the program has played a vital role in strengthening theoretical research teams, advancing major studies on theoretical and practical issues, and promoting the application of research findings. According to the Administrative Measures for the Implementation of the Hundred Scholars Program, the list of selected scholars is updated every two years, and outstanding theoretical achievements are recognized and funded. The latest selection process included application submission, preliminary review, and expert evaluation, resulting in 100 selected scholars and 24 outstanding theoretical achievements across the province.
