Speaker Bio
Dr. Su Bin is a Senior Research Fellow at the Energy Studies Institute (ESI), National University of Singapore (NUS). He serves as Director of the Energy and Environmental Research Centre and leads the Energy System Modelling Team. He is also the Principal Investigator of Singapore’s Energy Efficiency and Low-Carbon Pathways project.
Dr. Su’s research focuses on energy and environmental economics and policy, climate change, and energy–environment system modelling and analysis. He has published more than 170 SCI/SSCI papers in international journals on energy and environment. From 2018 to 2024, he was continuously listed as a Highly Cited Researcher by Clarivate (in “Cross-Field” for 2018 and 2024, and in “Economics & Business” from 2019 to 2023). From 2019 to 2024, he was recognized for six consecutive years among the world’s top 2% of scientists in the energy field by Stanford University. From 2021 to 2024, he was also ranked in the top 1% of economists globally by RePEc/IDEAS and in the top 1% of scientists worldwide in economics and finance by Research.com.
He is currently Co-Editor-in-Chief of Energy Policy, Associate Editor of Energy Economics, and serves as guest editor, associate editor, and editorial board member for several leading international journals. Dr. Su has led or participated in more than 30 energy and environment research projects in Singapore.
