Recently, the results of the 2025 evaluation for the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), the National Social Science Foundation of China (NSSFC), the Shandong Provincial Natural Science Foundation, and the Shandong Provincial Social Science Foundation were released. The School has been awarded 9 national-level projects and 12 provincial-level projects.
Among them, SEM received 8 NSFC projects (4 General Projects and 4 Young Scholar Projects), 1 NSSFC General Project, 10 Shandong Provincial Natural Science Foundation projects (3 General Projects and 7 Young Scholar Projects), and 2 Shandong Provincial Social Science Foundation Young Scholar Projects.

In recent years, SEM has consistently regarded the application for competitive research grants as a key priority, carrying out systematic and well-organized research activities. These efforts have significantly enhanced faculty research capacity and laid a solid foundation for the successful approval of major projects. Looking ahead, the School will continue to strengthen organized research, improve research cultivation and incentive mechanisms, and contribute more intellectual insights to the University’s Double First-Class initiative.
