Program Orientation
This micro-major is designed in response to China’s national goals of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality. It aims to cultivate interdisciplinary professionals equipped with both low-carbon knowledge systems and modern energy system management skills to meet the needs of low-carbon industries. The program aspires to become a nationally leading and internationally recognized micro-specialization in the energy sector.
Distinctive Features
§The program is supported by the Institute for Energy Economics and Policy (IEEP), one of the first key provincial research bases for social science theory in Shandong.
§Core courses are taught by a team led by National Distinguished Young Scholars and other prominent academics.
§Adopts an “integrated framework with two wings” training model, with a focus on two core competencies:
